Controlled environments.
Connected security.
A Westminster, Maryland life sciences project combining a nine-door Sentry Interlocks airlock system, controlled perimeter entry, and video surveillance infrastructure.
Airlock control built around the opening.
Ironsight's documented scope included a nine-door Sentry Interlocks airlock system with door monitoring, emergency override controls, visual status indication, interlock modules, dedicated 24VDC power and associated field cabling. The project also included a controlled perimeter entry and video-surveillance work.
The controller behind the door sequence.
The Sentry Interlocks EZ ModLock Multi Door Access platform coordinates interlocking door applications and provides real-time indication of door, lock and indicator status. Its modular architecture can coordinate multiple controlled openings and interface with compatible access-control devices.
The Westminster installation used this interlock architecture with industrial door contacts, status indication, emergency override devices, interlock modules and dedicated power. Electronic locking devices were customer-provided under the documented scope.
Three systems. One life sciences facility.
The documented work at 5260 Westview combined controlled-environment door interlocking, perimeter entry and video-surveillance infrastructure.

From active construction to a finished controlled environment.
The Westminster project moved from field cabling and infrastructure work above the ceiling to a completed life-sciences corridor with controlled laboratory entrances. These images show the installation at two very different stages of the project.

Locking, status and control—working together.
Electromagnetic locking
Nine industrial door contacts provide door-state monitoring for the controlled openings.
Red / green indication
Nine interior and nine exterior red/green LED indicators communicate status at the controlled openings.
Emergency release
Nine interior emergency override buttons provide dedicated local override capability with red/green LED status indication.
Interlock modules + power
Five door interlock modules and four 24VDC power supplies support the coordinated nine-door airlock architecture.
AI video and the network behind it.
A later documented scope expanded the Westminster facility with a seven-camera video-surveillance system and supporting network infrastructure.
Local Maryland experience. Specialized technical scope.
This Westminster project adds life-sciences controlled-entry and airlock experience to Ironsight's broader commercial technology work throughout Maryland and the National Capital Region.
Controlled-entry systems for life sciences facilities.
What is a door interlock or airlock system?
A door interlock coordinates controlled openings so the permitted state of one door can depend on the state of another, supporting managed movement through controlled transition spaces.
What was included in the Westminster airlock project?
The documented installation scope included nine industrial door contacts, nine interior emergency override devices with red/green status indication, nine exterior red/green status indicators, five door interlock modules, four 24VDC power supplies, four NEMA 1 enclosures, and associated cabling and mounting hardware.
Can Ironsight support multi-door airlock systems?
Yes. This project demonstrates Ironsight's field experience with a nine-door controlled-entry installation using modular Sentry Interlocks technology.
Can interlocks interface with access control?
The Sentry Multi Door Access platform supports interlocking manual doors with access-control devices that provide compatible dry-contact outputs.
Did the Westminster project also include video surveillance?
Yes. A later documented scope included a seven-camera video-surveillance system with five 4MP wide-angle AI cameras, two 4MP 360-degree AI/PTZ cameras, a cloud gateway server, PoE switching, a 24-port patch panel, 9U wall rack and Cat6 plenum cabling.
Where does Ironsight provide life sciences technology services?
Ironsight supports commercial technology projects throughout Maryland, Washington DC and Northern Virginia, with broader project support based on scope.
